RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

As a part of the Pre-Sales Solutions Engineering team, the Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer collaborates closely with the Sales Organization to enhance and expand Motorola Solutions' business.

The Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer oversees the technical aspects of the sales process, engaging with the Sales Teams to develop and position solutions involving Video Security & Access control products. This includes participating in tender specifications, conducting product tests in intricate scenarios, and providing training to employees and partners.

Throughout the needs analysis phase, ensure that the products and solutions align with the prospect's needs and contribute to technical qualifications. During the proposal stage, elucidate the technology and showcase Motorola's value proposition to both business and technical stakeholders. Additionally, compare Motorola products with competitors and create system designs that meet technical and budget requirements.

Pre-Sales Solutions Engineers have the opportunity to specialize in one or more of the solutions and become experts in that segment of the Motorola Solutions Portfolio. They are tasked with implementing a plan to enhance and solidify the knowledge of the field sales and pre-sales teams.

This role involves domestic and international travel of up to 50% of the annual working schedule.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This role is a blend of technical and sales responsibilities, focusing on supporting the Video Security & Access Control business opportunities at Motorola Solutions.

Your primary responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • Have a positive attitude and effectively manage time and tasks, even under pressure or with tight deadlines.
  • Assist Sales teams in responding to RFPs, designs, specifications, and quotes.
  • Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with Sales teams, consultants, partners, and end users.
  • Act as a technical resource for end user webinars and presentations to help in closing deals.
  • Articulate the technology and present differentiated value propositions to both business and technical prospects.
  • Provide support during tradeshows and customer visits including Proof Of Concept design and remote/onsite assistance.
  • Offer internal technical sales support.
  • Support Sales Team in RFP responses, system design, specifications, and quoting.
  • Continuously enhance product knowledge through comprehensive training for field sales, pre-sales, consultants, partners, and end users which may involve travel.
  • Foster strong relationships with customers and partners.
  • Aid in managing and creating certification training content.
  • Deliver certification training to sales and partner channels.
  • Collaborate with product support and engineering to address complex customer issues.
  • Assist in Pre-Sales field escalations and engage necessary resources within Motorola to provide solutions.
  • Support Events Marketing team in organizing field events such as roadshows, trade shows, and partners events including system pre-setups and logistics. This may entail international travel.
  • Conduct onsite activities including international travel when necessary for site surveys, system audits, and commissioning.
  • Handle administrative tasks including task assignments, calendar planning, and monthly reporting on the territory status.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in Pre-Sales Solutions Engineering or a similar role in a technology company.
  • Thorough understanding of the access control and video surveillance markets and solutions.
  • Self-motivated individual with a passion for technology and a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to achieve organizational goals.
  • Native Spanish speaker with proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Excellent in-person and remote presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Friendly communication style both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficient in Windows troubleshooting tools and techniques.
  • Advanced knowledge of networking principles and communications.
  • Experience with computer hardware configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Valid driving license and car for business transportation (supported by corporate policies).

PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES WITH THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with cloud-hosted video and access control solutions.
  • University degree or diploma in a relevant technological field.
  • Prior experience in the security industry, including certifications in enterprise and/or cloud-hosted video and access control solutions.
  • Certifications in Microsoft, Cisco, or other relevant technical areas.
  • Proficiency in languages other than English.
