Technical Sales Specialist, IP Audio Solutions

Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified individual to join our team as a Technical Sales Specialist. Ideal candidates will be based in Colombia or Chile.

- You are eager to take on the main responsibility of driving sales growth initiatives throughout the region, with a focus on IP audio solutions for video intercoms, security communications, paging systems, background music, and more.
- You enjoy collaborating closely with Axis Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) to support a variety of pre- and post-sales activities, including significant projects.
- You excel in communication and teamwork with both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities...
- Oversee all aspects of pre- and post-sales support for opportunities requiring FSE involvement related to IP Audio solutions.
- Develop comprehensive system designs that may encompass: detailed site assessments, placement of speakers/intercom stations/microphones, coverage area calculations, decibel analysis, bandwidth and storage assessments, bill of materials (BOM) creation, schematic diagrams (Visio/CAD), and recommendations for third-party products and integration.
- Collaborate effectively across various departments (both internally and externally) to ensure that expectations and performance objectives are achieved in a timely and professional manner.
- Design and deliver technology and/or customer-specific training related to IP Audio.
- Represent Axis at industry trade shows and events as required.
- Provide backup support to other Axis sales engineers as necessary.
- Travel regionally and occasionally internationally, with travel requirements up to 35%.
- Primarily work from an AXIS Experience Center when not traveling.
- Maintain and enhance the AXIS Experience Center for IP audio.
- Manage multiple projects, tasks, and travel arrangements effectively.
- Undertake other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications We Seek...
- Strong understanding of intercom systems, network audio, VoIP, and SIP technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of the physical security and IT sectors, including complementary products, technologies, future trends, and the overall market landscape.
- Proficient in networking concepts (TCP/IP, routers, switches, VPNs, etc.).
- Familiarity with video transport protocols and compression technologies.
- Excellent technical writing and presentation abilities (white papers, manuals, instructions, etc.).
- Experience in design documentation (schematics, flow charts, topologies, metrics, fields of view, pixels on target, angles, etc.).
- Strong professional communication skills (listening, written, verbal).
- Proven presentation and training capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and multitask.
- Capacity to explain complex technologies and specifications clearly.
- Positive, customer-focused attitude.
Required Education and Experience...
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or Information Systems is mandatory.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a customer-facing pre-sales role, preferably within the network video and/or physical security sectors.
- Axis Certified Professional designation is preferred.

- Travel may be required up to 50%.
