**Joining Our Team**

When you join the Presales Technical Consultant (TC) team at HP, you’ll be working closely with other Technical Consultants and the Sales Account Managers to help HP customers understand the value of HP hardware and solutions, while removing technical barriers to the selling process. This is a fast paced, highly collaborative environment with team members who push hard toward a common goal.

**What You’ll Be Doing**
As a Presales Technical Consultant, you will work directly with customers to demonstrate HP Print hardware, software, and solutions. By understanding customer requirements, you will help position technical solutions to customer’s business challenges. Presales Technical consultants provide technical presentations to customers on a wide array of HP Print solutions and build trust as technical advisors. You will work closely with the sales team to win new business while retaining existing customers.

**What We’re Looking For**

We are looking for motivated individuals who can balance customer engagement with constant technical skill development. A successful Presales TC is expected to have or have a plan to develop deep knowledge of **HP Print hardware and solutions**.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide Technical Presales support to our End-User/Channel Salesforce to create the right Outcomes for our customers
- Exercise personal influence on behalf of the customer to expedite quick access to technical information, and resources
- Create the right technical solutions for our customers so that we win and retain their business
- Manage Presales technical relationships with Partners/Customers
- Evangelize HP Print Products, Software, Solutions & Services
- Support business development activities together with the Services and Sales Organizations
- Perform Consultative selling in collaboration with the services account team
- Collect and provide technical feedback to improve our print products/software/solutions
- Execute and deliver HP global presales programs to our customers/partners
- Manage and escalate any Presales technical issues that are inhibiting business
- Deliver “train the trainer” technical training to the channel partners
- Support business dev. activities with HP Channel Partners
- Support Channel Partners with Proofs of Concept (POCs) that they do for their customers and with advice on channel demo’s

Education and Experience Required: _**
- Technical University or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Typically, 3-5 years' experience in technical selling and/or consultative selling.
- Experience in industry desired.
- Technical and/or solution experience in vertical industry preferred.

**Technical/Solution acumen.**
- Demonstrates a solid knowledge of HP's breadth of solutions.
- Demonstrates deep technical capabilities in assigned area of specialization
- Awareness in competitive solutions knowledge.
- Understands data business center components and how IT is used to address business needs.
- Demonstrates current understanding of technical innovations & trends and their impact on solving customer business problems.
- Demonstrated ability to work as the lead for components of large complex projects.
- Has a high level understanding of the HP product roadmaps for multiple BU's.
- Has demonstrated hands-on level skills with some of the technology.

**Business acumen.**
- Understands and applies basic financial and accounting concepts as well as capital investment concepts and applies them appropriately in positioning proposed solutions.
- Applies understanding of the customer's value chain and business requirements when designing and proposing solutions.
- Communicates the value of the solution in terms of financial return and impact on customer business goals Industry acumen.
- Solid level of industry acumen; keeps current with trends and able to converse with client on issues and challenges.
