Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team at Agfa-Gevaert. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and technical expertise in the installation, maintenance, and repair of our medical imaging solutions.

About the Role
  • Provide remote and on-site hardware and software maintenance of Agfa HealthCare products.
  • Implement activities for ongoing projects and drive customer satisfaction.
  • Actively promote and support all Agfa services offerings to customers.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Install, remedial, and preventive maintenance of Agfa and other OEM products.
  2. Strong Healthcare Integration knowledge and global standards like HL7, Dicom, IHE, etc.
  3. Programming skills are a requirement.
  4. Global hardware and virtualization skills are a requirement.
Requirements
  • Engineer degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant healthcare IT experience.
  • 2 or more years previous work experience in a technical customer support role working with mission critical IT systems.
Desirable Skills
  • Knowledge of networking and operating systems (Linux and Windows), databases (Oracle and SQL), remote connectivity, security, and digital medical image processing.
  • Previous knowledge of Agfa software or similar industry PACS, RIS or EI8, hospital workflow, and demonstrated capability to learn cutting-edge new technologies.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $80,000-$120,000 per year, depending on experience and location. We offer a competitive compensation package, including benefits such as health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
