Drive business growth and revenue expansion in the container shipping industry as a Commercial Manager with Pacific International Lines (PIL). Based in Santiago, Chile, you will lead the Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service functions to achieve ambitious targets.
About the RolePIL is a global carrier with 55 years of experience in the shipping industry. As a Commercial Manager, your key responsibilities will include developing and executing local sales strategies to increase market share and revenue across import and export activities. You will also lead the local sales team to meet business targets and individual performance goals, ensuring alignment with regional and headquarters objectives.
The successful candidate will have strong leadership abilities, with experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving performance. They will be proactive in staying updated with industry trends, laws, and regulations, and possess superior time management and multitasking abilities.
Key Responsibilities- Create and execute local sales strategies to increase market share and revenue across import and export activities.
- Lead and inspire the local sales team to meet business targets and individual performance goals, ensuring alignment with regional and headquarters objectives.
- Strengthen relationships with clients through joint visits with sales representatives and channel partners.
- Manage forecasting and budgeting processes to align with the company's goals and objectives.
- Analyze market data and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.
- Submit regular marketing and performance reports to the headquarters.
- A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, commerce, or a related field.
- 10-15 years of experience in trade, sales, and marketing within the container shipping, logistics, or liner industry.
- Proven experience in managing customer relationships, with knowledge of port operations and equipment management.
- Strong leadership abilities, with experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving performance.
