The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various duties such as order picking, packing, and logistics support roles within the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manually pick full-case orders and stack them onto pallets using a scanner/tablet
  • Ensure proper staging and identification once an order has been completely picked
  • Use various pieces of equipment to move pallets, including manual pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, reach trucks, and propane lifts
  • Verify quantities, quality of items, and proper labeling of products being shipped
  • Examine all packaging and contents of items for conformance to customer specifications and verify all information against the packing list and SAP
  • Coordinate with other departments such as customer service, production, instant, and small pack
  • Prepare shipping boxes and labels
  • Load trailers with packed boxes and pallets
  • Identify items with quantity discrepancies and promptly communicate with Supervisor and/or Lead
  • Maintain the 5S cleanliness of the picking area and pull completed shrink-wrapped orders to the dock for LTL packers
  • Follow all safety procedures and policies
  • Follow all warehouse procedures and policies

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required
  • One year experience in plant or warehouse
  • Ability to accurately perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal directions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment performing shipping and/or receiving responsibilities
  • Ability to properly utilize a manual pallet jack, electric pallet jack, reach lift, and/or sit-down forklift
  • A minimal level of analytical ability is required
