As a Field Service Engineer with Agfa-Gevaert, you will play a vital role in ensuring the optimal performance of our diagnostic imaging and healthcare IT solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to provide remote and on-site hardware and software maintenance support for our products, as well as implementing activities for ongoing projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation, remedial, and preventive maintenance of Agfa and other OEM products trained on
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare integration standards like HL7, DICOM, and IHE
  • Proficiency in programming skills and global hardware and virtualization expertise
  • Review of basic equipment operational function with customers during installations
  • Perform system administration as required, providing prompt resolution to hardware and software problems to ensure customer uptime and satisfaction

You will develop solutions for technical problems by interfacing with hospital systems IT administrators, end-users, and outside vendors and support teams. Ensuring maximum uptime, performance, and efficiency of all Agfa systems is essential to your success. You will also install software, hardware, and execute performance analysis as needed, define problems, verify defects in systems, and apply fixes or workarounds.

Requirements:
  • Relevant technical education on an intermediate vocational level and one year of relevant experience in a technical customer support role working with mission-critical IT systems, preferably PACS, RIS
  • Knowledge of networking and operating systems (Linux and Windows), databases (Oracle and SQL), remote connectivity, security, and digital medical image processing
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Office, Lotus Notes, and Internet-based knowledge management systems
  • Proven organizational and time management skills, with the ability to adapt to change and manage priorities effectively
  • Strong customer service skills in interacting with internal and external customers, with excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
