The Account Manager, Marine Electronics, is tasked with growing the marine electronics technology platform revenue and market share through various sales initiatives including sales calls, customer service and support, customer training, trade shows, presentations, and additional sales/marketing-related activities. This position must interface with all departments to ensure excellent customer support and product integrity.
Essential Functions of the Job (Key Duties):
- Sell, service and support marine electronics platforms, including Maretron, MPower, and future products.
- Visit and communicate with OEMs, Dealers, and Distributors on a regular basis.
- Aggressively target new opportunities and work to grow market share.
- Interact and work with European and Asian subsidiaries, common goals.
- Manage sales channels, including field sales team.
- Attend related trade shows and coordinate logistics including presentations, booth setup, demonstrations, etc.
- Stay educated on industry developments and market trends, particularly with regard to control, monitoring and security products, production schedules and activity, competitive activity, and economic conditions.
- Interface with all departments, including production, quality, procurement, and engineering.
- Work with Carling affiliated companies, including OctoPlex, to help define product roadmaps and integrate and market new system developments.
- Responsible for the effectiveness of the Company's Quality Management System (QMS) for the process(es) within this position’s responsibility.

Qualifications (Recommended Education and/or Experience)
- Knowledge of marine electrical systems including but not limited to power management, distribution, monitoring systems, human machine interface, vessel production and layout, end-user interests and needs.
- BS in related field
- Understanding of marine networking standards, particularly NMEA2000, as well as product certifications and standards such as Lloyds, CE, NMMA, ABYC and others.
- Extensive technical sales / business development and marketing experience in marine market and/or related fields (minimum of 5 years).
- Positive attitude and results-driven sales and technical approach.
- Customer specific requirements pertaining to their job function.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Provide effective performance feedback through annual performance reviews and continual communication.
- Update job descriptions as needed.
- Annual training needs assessment.
