The intern will be under the overall supervision of the Chief of the Human Resources Section and directly supervised by the Human Resources Officer (Chief of Unit), Recruitment.

**Responsibilities**:
Daily responsibilities will depend on the individual's background and the ongoing projects and work plan of the unit:

- Support the gender, disability inclusion and geographic diversity strategies and initiatives in recruitment.
- Support outreach activities related to target groups.
- Provide support with management of ECLAC’s Internship Programme.
- Provide support throughout the different stages of the recruitment process.
- Review and maintain communication channels and outreach databases of the unit.
- Organize information and documentation in the Unit Document Libraries.
- Support the generation and update of the content to enhance employer branding.
- Provide support with the preparation and distribution of monthly reports.
- Assists with the collection and analysis of data as well as preparation of data presentations and reports for information sharing, responding to queries, knowledge management, planning and decision making.
- Support in design and conducting training workshops, seminars, or presentations on assigned topics/activities related to recruitment.
- Performs other duties as required.

Education

To qualify for an internship with the United Nations Internship Programme, the following conditions must be met:
a) Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or,

b) Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent).
- For this internship studies in human resources management, industrial psychology, welfare, pedagogy, sociology, data analytics, data management or related fields are desirable.

Job - Specific Qualification
Training in MS Office Package, specifically Excel and PowerPoint or similar is required..

Knowledge in the field of disability and inclusion matters is desirable.

Work Experience

Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. Spanish is a working language of ECLAC.

For this position fluency in Spanish is required.
Knowledge of English is required.
Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.

NOTE: “Fluency” equals a rating of ''fluent'' in all four areas (speak, read, write, and understand) and ¨knowledge of¨ equals a rating of ''confident'' in two of the four areas.

The internship is UNPAID. All costs of travel and accommodation, including living expenses, must be covered by the intern or any relevant sponsoring institution.
