**Position Details**
Position name: Homeroom Assistant Teacher
Position dependence: Elementary School Principal
Time commitment: Part-Time 80% working schedule (Temporary position - 2nd Semester

23-24 only)

**Qualifications**
University degree in Elementary Education with a preference for training in early
- Childhood Education- Fully bilingual in Spanish and English with advanced writing and communication skills
- Experience in a multicultural school environment
- Collaborative team member
- Competent computer skills

**Skills**
Ability to connect with young children, communicating clearly and kindly with them- Excellent human relations skills in order to communicate effectively with both host

country and international parents

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
Assist with instruction of individuals, small groups, or whole group in collaboration with the
- lead teacher- Assume the role of the lead teacher when the teacher is absent
- Maintain an orderly, clean, and safe classroom/school environment
- Collaborate with the teacher and team grade level in planning and preparation of lessons
- Participate in parent teacher conferences
- Assist teacher with administrative records and preparation of required reports, along with

support of student assessments
- Prepare and organize art materials and resources required for lessons and projects.
- Maintain an inventory of art supplies and communicate any needs to the school
- administration.- Support the School and the Administration
- Perform other related duties as requested by the School, if temporary and/or extraordinary

circumstances require them or the needs of the School require them
