**Qualifications and Experience**
- University degree in Elementary Education required.
- Master degree in Elementary Education preferred.
- Experience in Grades 3-5 preferred.
- Exceptional English communication skills both written and oral.
- High level of English proficiency required.
- Experience providing differentiated instruction, especially for English language learners
- Conversational Spanish communication skills preferred
- Experience in a multicultural school environment.
- Experience in creating student-centered learning environments.
- Experience in using the Common Core Standards in ELA and mathematics, the C3
- Framework, and the Next Generation Science Standards.
- Experience delivering CASEL-based social-emotional learning curriculum.
- Experience using the workshop model across content areas.
- Experience teaching English Language Arts through a balanced literacy approach.
- Experience using inquiry/design thinking and backwards planning to design curriculum and
- deliver instruction.
- Experience using a range of assessment data to document student growth and to plan for
- instruction.
- Experience in creating student-centered learning environments.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
- Create and maintain an orderly, clean, and safe classroom/school environment.
- Provide whole group instruction along with differentiated small group and individual support
- as needed.
- Collaborate with other teachers and team members in planning and design of learning
- units.
- Both individually and with teams collect and utilize informal and formal data to respond to
- learning needs and make curricular adjustments.
- Maintain regular communications with students and families.
- Attend to a wide variety of school responsibilities as assigned by administrators.
