We are looking to hire for the position of **Student Support Learning Assistant**, according to the
following skills and qualifications:
**Position Details**

Position name: Student Support Learning Assistant
Position dependence: Director of Student Support
Time commitment: Full-time

**Purpose of the position**
Responsible for supporting individual students with successful integration into a general education
environment. The Student Support Learning Assistant should be an experienced educator familiar
with working collaboratively in a classroom to support the behavioral, academic and safety needs of
individual students.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Psychology, Occupational Therapy or a related field.
- Training and experience working with students with both behavioral and learning needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a group setting, coordinating with the classroom teacher
- and others such as the school Counselor and Learning Support teachers.
- Ability to communicate clearly with external providers such as Speech/Language Therapists
- or Occupational Therapists.
- Proficient in Written and Spoken English and Spanish
- Interest in working with students on the Autism Spectrum

**Skills**
- Ability to connect with young children, communicating clearly and kindly with them
- Excellent human relations skills in order to communicate effectively with both host country

and international parents

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
- Assist with the instruction of individuals, small groups or whole group in collaboration with

the lead Learning Support teacher
- Assume the role of the lead teacher with the teacher is absent
- Collaborate with the Learning Support and Classroom teacher for planning and preparation
- of lessons
- Assist in maintaining an orderly, clean and safe classroom and school environment
- Assist the Learning Support teacher with record keeping and preparation of required reports
- Participate in parent/teacher/student conferences
- Support the School and Administration
- Other duties as assigned
