As a Medical Territory Representative, you will be responsible for covering a large territory and focusing on a defined target list of physicians/practitioners within that area.

You will also ensure the needs of all partners are met while developing relationships and maintaining an active presence in the pharmaceutical community or associated organizations throughout the territory.

In this role, your typical day may include:

  • Disease awareness and education: Building partnerships with key stakeholders to promote treatment initiation processes and patient identification.
  • Patient access support: Collaborating with internal and external partners on prior authorization, payor restrictions, reimbursement stipulations, and patient referrals.
  • Sales growth and management: Managing the sales budget and growing sales across the territory through impactful territory planning and engaging communications.
  • Territory knowledge and networking: Employing business planning and local market knowledge to develop sales and customer networks.
  • Relationship development: Growing relationships and communications with all partners and communities to develop a solid understanding of treatment algorithms and business dynamics within accounts.
  • Compliant program implementation: Implementing compliant and medically relevant programs to effect significant customer satisfaction and sales.
  • Customer visits and account management: Covering and visiting all customers in the area of responsibility according to their importance and potential, managing accounts for all business-related aspects.
  • Meeting and event participation: Participating, developing, and conducting different meetings and events (congresses, round tables, trainings).
  • Action plan establishment and tracking: Establishing and presenting action plans to achieve sales targets, planning and tracking agreed account metrics, and clearly communicating progress.
  • Market monitoring: Keeping constant touch on market evolution.
  • New account prospecting: Prospecting the market for new accounts and identifying growth opportunities.

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent years of directly related experience.
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
  • Two years of proven experience.
  • Territory: Miami, Florida.
  • No relocation assistance available.
  • No sponsorship available.

Preferred requirements:

  • Experience in sales account management.
  • Healthcare industry background (preferably in the eye care pharmaceutical or medical device field).
  • Technical learning and agility.
  • High-energy, self-starter as well as collaborative team player.
  • Result-oriented with strong drive to make it happen.
  • Willingness to challenge the status quo.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Self-control, self-confidence, reliability, strong business acumen, and organization skills.
  • Driving license category B.

Estimated Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 per year based on location and experience.
