Your responsibilities

To expand Stryker's Robotic division by promoting MAKO to orthopedic surgeons and enhancing customer service, while growing existing accounts through technical expertise. The MAKO Sales Specialist will oversee the clinical selling process for MAKO.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Upholding ethical standards and demonstrating respect towards customers and colleagues, representing the company positively.
  • Communicating the essential benefits of products and their clinical applications effectively.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service with integrity and meeting commitments within established timelines.
  • Collaborating with mentors/managers to develop a foundational business plan, including daily, weekly, and monthly planning.
  • Building rapport and understanding the significance of relationships in sales, utilizing open questioning techniques to identify customer needs.
  • Recognizing the various stakeholders involved in the decision-making process and asking relevant questions to identify them.
  • Working under close supervision, keeping supervisors informed of work status, and understanding that failure to achieve results can typically be remedied without significant impact on revenue or budget.
  • Meeting sales targets aligned with annual goals and KPI metrics.
  • Planning, prioritizing, and executing necessary activities to support customers.
  • Segmenting the sales territory to focus on acquiring new customers and expanding existing accounts in collaboration with the implant sales team.
  • Maintaining customer satisfaction and quality through collaboration with the Sales Team and other departments.
  • Developing short- and medium-term strategies with customers to strengthen Stryker's market position.
  • Engaging in effective communication and negotiation with customers to ensure profitable and sustainable relationships.
  • Conducting market observations to enhance personal positioning and continuously analyzing the assigned area.
  • Addressing customer challenges and developing solutions with support from Sales Managers and the Sales Team.
  • Participating in internal meetings to discuss organizational, developmental, and business matters while enhancing relevant knowledge and skills.
  • Managing IT-based customer databases/CRM tools.
  • Being accountable for the clinical selling process, identifying and nurturing key clinical advocates through the sales funnel (MAKO Pathway).

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience, preferably in Orthopedics.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Preferred background in Market knowledge and Medical or Life Sciences.
  • Prior experience in selling capital goods or consumables that require explanation, or extensive experience in clinical settings.
  • Excellent communication skills with proficiency in both spoken and written English.
  • Outgoing and persuasive demeanor with the ability to engage with individuals holding diverse beliefs or values.
  • Confidence to engage with customers on equal footing to discuss medical and economic matters.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
