MAIN LOCAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be aware of the political, economic, and specific Automation market trends in the assigned territory in order to identify the best strategic opportunities for the Emerson and BU's and take decisions based on solid grounds.
  • Prepare the BU's budget for each fiscal year, and manage it throughout the fiscal year avoiding any significant deviation.
  • Assign the sales quotas to each representative organization in the country covering the territory as well as to each of the external salespersons in charge of.
  • Be in charge of doing product market analysis in order to measure the market share of the BU's products as well as measure the evolution of the main competitor's.
  • Evaluate the salesperson performance through formal evaluation at the end of the fiscal year, where the strengths and weaknesses aspects should be identified and as a result a personal growth plan must be designed for each report. This in coordination with the Human resources Department policies and guidelines.
  • Make updated presentations about the evolution of the businesses and forecasts whenever an authority from the Company makes a visit to our facilities.
  • He/she must follow the good and honest selling practices aligned with the ethics policy of the company, fostering his reports to behave in the same way.
  • He/ she will participate in the selection process of the right person for the any position in the BU or Platform in charge, this done in coordination with the Human Resources Department.
  • He/she will assign the accounts to each salesperson in charge, and ask them to prepare strategic plans to each for them and get involved in the sales evolution in each key account.
  • He/she must add value to the customers in order to foster their loyalty and assure their satisfaction.
  • He/she must supervise all main projects by getting involved in the project pursuit activities jointly with the Representatives and other Emerson's offices according to the territories involved.
  • He/she must supervise that the commissions to the representatives as well as the bonus and/or commissions to the salesperson are correctly assigned and recognized.
  • He/She must have leadership skills.
  • He/she must be aligned with the vision and mission of the corporation and the assigned BU
  • Perform facetoface contact with key customers for building a solid relationship, get key early sales related information, get account organization understanding and intelligence activities in order to know in advance its concerns, plans and purchasing criteria.
  • He/she can be designated a project's leader related to his/her assigned division plus others, having to define the best strategy in order to optimize the chances to win it in a crossBU effort.
  • Must collaborate with his/her colleges in a honest attitude, honor his committed word, and share accurate and timely information.
  • To be a Coach for Sales Representative.
  • Participate in all mandatory training provided by the company, such as those related to Trade Compliance and all training related to compliance with legal regulations and / or Corporate Policies, and may also be the mentor/guide of these issues if it is required.

MAIN REGIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • He/she will be responsible for sending to the BU's management abroad the periodic sales and key initiatives evolution reports. He will receive the assistance of an assigned assistant for this kind of tasks.
  • Support main business Initiatives in the region and key global initiatives.
  • Align his reports in the culture of a crossBU sales effort openly sharing information and coordinating joint activities in that direction. This is valid also with regard to other Emerson offices worldwide.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Solid Sales experience in Mining, with strong contacts at C-Level in the Mining Industry, as well other main industries in Chile, such as Pulp & Paper and Oil & Gas, preferable in companies supplying automation and industrial software.
  • Engineering degree or similar, preferred with specialization in instrumentation and process control, Master or MBA.
  • He/She must have experience leading sales efforts, projects, strategies implementation, closing alliances or agreements.
  • Must have proficiency in English language able to speak and understand a technical or commercial conversation.
  • Attitude oriented to action and reaching challenging goals, with emphasis in proactivity.
  • Willingness to travel intensively inside the country and abroad.
  • Knowledge in quality management systems.
