Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Communications Professional to join our team in Latin America and the Caribbean. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a communication strategy that encompasses all the projects of Regional Priority 2: Ending hunger and achieving food security and nutrition (Better Nutrition) in line with the FAO regional Communications Strategy and the FAO global guidance on communicating the four betters for the Agenda.
Key Responsibilities- Work in coordination with the communication teams of the main projects addressing regional priority 2, and others linked to it.
- Support in the identification and development of content to produce communication products, such as minutes, press releases, information notes, social media campaigns, key messages, opinion articles, success stories on beneficiaries, and other required materials with a focus on the different audiences, linked to the work of Regional Priority 2.
- Support the development of communication materials for the websites and social media accounts on the main projects linked to the Regional Priority 2 work plan.
- Monitor visits to websites, contemplating, in coordination with the digital content team of the Regional Office, the design of strategies to increase the presence on networks of topics related to Regional Priority 2.
- Assist in the generation of content, advocacy and dissemination strategies for digital and audiovisual materials, and for producing brochures.
- University degree in Journalism or Social Communication.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in the media, international or cooperation organizations and/or the public sector.
- Working knowledge of Spanish (level -C-).
- Must be national of Chile, or resident with work permit.
