Your Mission:

The Regional Compliance Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring that all legal entities within their region adhere to local laws, industry standards, and Epiroc's internal policies. This involves close collaboration with local leadership to identify compliance risks, provide guidance on ethical business practices, and facilitate the seamless implementation of global policies within regional operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage key compliance areas such as Anti-Corruption, Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Trust, Conflict of Interest, Data Privacy, Third-Party Due Diligence, and Trade Sanctions and Export Compliance.
  • Document and understand applicable legal requirements (Compliance Map).
  • Monitor and communicate relevant regulatory developments (Horizon Scanning).
  • Train business units on regulations and their implications.
  • Identify, assess, manage, and regularly report on risks.
  • Report compliance incidents and breaches to the Management Team and Epiroc Group Compliance.
  • Present monthly/quarterly reports on compliance risks and recommendations.
  • Perform independent monitoring and control to ensure compliance.
  • Promote compliance awareness within the organization.
  • Coordinate communication with authorities and regulators.
  • Support the local implementation of Epiroc Group policies.
  • Lead compliance investigations, including whistleblower investigations.
  • Act as a compliance advisor in major projects.
  • Conduct annual risk assessments and develop specific compliance programs for the region.
  • Exemplify the application of the Epiroc code of conduct.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law or equivalent, preferably with a specialization in compliance or risk analysis.
  • At least 5 to 10 years of experience in similar roles.
  • Impeccable legal and commercial background.
  • Legal regulatory knowledge in Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay.
  • Knowledge of sectoral regulations.
  • Strong knowledge in business risk management.
  • Knowledge of internal audit processes.
  • Strong understanding of the business.
  • Proficiency in advanced oral and written English and Spanish communication; Portuguese knowledge is a plus.
  • Proficiency in data analysis software.

Compensation Package:

The estimated salary for this role is around $120,000 per year, depending on location and experience. Additionally, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
