About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Finance Business Development Manager to join our team at the Escondida mining site.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Engage and influence Operations/Functions in delivering business plans, managing cost bases, and maximizing business value.
  2. Identify opportunities to shift paradigms within the business, working with all levels to design and implement changes.
  3. Develop financial acumen among line leadership, using data to coach and influence teams on monitoring activities based on cost and value.
  4. Provide critical financial analysis to support decisions on business challenges.
  5. Cultivate technical expertise to mentor peers and colleagues across Finance in achieving performance targets.
  6. Implement and monitor the effectiveness of Finance BP improvement initiatives.
  7. Review financial analysis for improvement projects, cost savings, and cost drivers, sharing insights with management teams.
  8. Collaborate with the larger data analytics team.
  9. Analyze output of 2-Year Budget and quarterly forecasts for variability and improvement opportunities.
About You
  1. Possess a degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  2. Be available to travel two weeks per month to the Escondida mining site.
  3. Hold at least five years of relevant experience, preferably in mining companies.
  4. Demonstrate advanced Spanish and English proficiency.
  5. Show experience working in complex global organizations, requiring indirect influence.
  6. Have operational commercial and financial background.
  7. Demonstrate highly developed negotiation and decision-making skills.
