At Cognizant, we are looking for a Technical Support Specialist to join our growing team in the consumer goods industry.

This role involves providing support for the desktop environment, including deployment of Desktop/Laptop and application installation, troubleshooting, incident and request handling.

The ideal candidate will have good diction and excellent client treatment skills, with strong mobile testing skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide technical support for Technology team on demand.
  2. Rack and Stack Support for commissioning/decommissioning infra devices.
  3. Physical access to vendors on demand for site/Communication rooms – IDF/MDF/MMR and Data Center/Server room.
  4. Printer Management/usage monitoring and coordinate with Vendors to ensure print services continuity.
  5. Co-ordination for cable patching with Vendors or enable on demand.
  6. Ensure basic Network connectivity (LAN), Wi-Fi access / Video Tandberg / Printer/ Voice are available at site.
  7. Advanced Troubleshooting / Problem Solving capabilities to narrow down root cause of incident reported by end users for IT devices and mobility support/management.
  8. Installing and configuring hardware and software components to ensure usability by end users.

Necessary skills and experience required:

  1. Advanced Troubleshooting / Problem Solving capabilities.
  2. Good Knowledge and experience in managing Power Shut Down maintenance activities which includes shutting down network devices and servers in Data Center.
  3. Knowledge / Understanding of GMP and GxP (nice to have).
  4. English proficiency: Upper intermediate and above.
  5. Strong focus on quality and attention to detail.
  6. Advanced communications skills to work with multiple teams (Network, Server) and/or OEMs on high priority issues.
