The Senior Customer Originator plays a key and fundamental role for Solarpack in Chile.

The Senior Customer Originator plays a key and fundamental role for Solarpack in Chile. This role involves implementing business strategy, market analysis, deal structuring and relationship management to drive the successful origination and execution of power purchase agreements (PPAs) and other revenue contracts for renewable energy projects. Reporting directly to the Director of Sales and Regulation for Latam.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Energy Sales division, you will perform the following functions:

  • Execute and implement the comprehensive Origination strategy aligned with the company's growth objectives.
  • Provide strategic guidance to the Power Sales team, ensuring alignment with market trends, regulatory changes and technological advances, and collect periodic Market Intelligence information.
  • Regulatory monitoring, staying abreast of government and market regulations related to the commercialization of renewable energy and PPAs.
  • Negotiate energy contracts with counterparties in collaboration with stakeholders from functions across the organization (Business Development, Finance, Operations).
  • Develop and execute creative deal structures across a range of product offerings. These include conventional power purchase agreements for renewable energy, renewable energy capacity and/or attributes and/or IRECs; q storage product offerings and novel combinations of operational and development assets and multiple technologies.
  • Establish solid relationships with clients, with the procurement, marketing and origination offices of public and private services, distribution companies, marketing companies, cooperatives, commercial and industrial corporate clients, to encourage collaboration and investment in renewable energy projects.
  • Drive marketing "ideas" towards definitive internal and external deliverables (financial models, term-sheets, contracts and execution schedules.
  • RFP and Proposal Development: Identify and participate in RFP opportunities and generate bilateral PPA targets outside of formal RFP
  • Support Business Development and M&A teams through asset valuation, leveraging financial expertise and market knowledge to inform investment decisions

Requirements

  • Civil or Commercial Engineer or related field in Origination and energy markets.
  • Capacity for teamwork and collaboration.
  • Passion to lead the world towards a clean energy future by offering innovative solutions
  • 5+ years of experience in power generation and related management functions.
  • Specific experience in Origination, pricing, structuring and analysis of physical and financial PPAs across multiple energy markets, customers and types of deal structures.
  • Advanced English
