We are looking to hire someone for the position of **Elementary Lenguaje y Comunicación**
**Teacher (Maternity leave replacement) **according to the following skills and qualifications:
**Position Details**
Position Name: ES Lenguaje y Comunicación Teacher (Maternity leave replacement)
Reports to: Elementary School Principal and Head for National Plan Affairs
Time commitment: Full-time

**Preferred Qualifications and Experiences**
University degree in Elementary Education.- Familiar with Children's Literature in Spanish.
- Familiar with Chilean´s Ministry of Education Standards (Objetivos de Aprendizaje).
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant teaching experience (Grade 3 to Grade 5).
- Strong background in collaborating with Subject Teachers and Support Team to develop and
- expand differentiation practices.- Experience in writing sequenced curriculums for diverse learners.
- Experience working in a multicultural school environment.
- Experience using a range of assessment tools and data to document student growth and to
- plan for instruction.- Experience in creating student-centered learning environments.
- Fluent in Spanish written and spoken.
- High level of English proficiency required.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
Uses school's guiding statements to determine appropriate learning objectives for the group
- that is being teached.- Monitors and evaluates student progress and achievement in relation to learning objectives.
- Collaborates effectively with colleagues in creating authentic learning experiences for
- students.- Collaborates effectively with the teaching team and with the teaching partner.
- Provides whole group instruction along with differentiated small group and individual
- support as needed.- Actively seeks professional growth opportunities through Nido’s PD Academy.
- Maintains an orderly and safe classroom environment.
- Meets with parents to discuss their children’s progress and to determine priorities for their
- children and their individualized educational needs.- Willingness to attend meetings with other staff, parents or administration before or after
- school as required.- Contributes to the school community outside of the classroom (e.g., after-school activities,
- coaching, etc.)- Maintains an orderly and safe classroom environment
