Business Development Manager

Chile/Argentina

Reporting to the General Manager, LATAM, the Business Development manager will develop sales opportunities, partake in strategic planning, identify and quantify customer needs, examine the commercial viability of projects, liaise with internal and external stakeholders, and coach colleagues.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for lead generation, pipeline development, and opportunity assessments resulting in revenue generation at Summit Nanotech.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic accounts and assist colleagues as technical expert. Able to share dense information seamlessly.
- Uses sales strategies such as 4D or Counselor Salesperson to discover and diagnose customer needs and gaps in order to tailor solutions that exceed expectations.
- Liaise with Tech, Engineering, and Strategy and serve as the Voice of the Customer. Mobilize departments in task force teams to efficiently solve problems and address concerns.
- Manage bid proposals for testing and equipment sales
- Lead client journey and development and recommend strategies or tactics to optimize best value proposition for new customer opportunities
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings, including travel, to strengthen brand presence and build relationships.
- Diligently uses CRM tools to manage, track, and project business objectives.
- Collaborate with Marketing/Communications to ensure technical data is up-to-date and accurate in presentations, proposals, investor decks, and brochures.
- Other duties as required and assigned.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- BSc. In Engineering or BSc. Analytical Chemistry
- 8 years in Business Development in the industrial, mining, or cleantech sectors.
- Previous involvement in projects related to valorization of wastewater, dust control, ponds leaking.
- Customer relations (4D selling or Counselor Salesperson)
- Effective communicator (verbal and presentation) in Spanish and English
- Contract negotiations
- Collaborator and relationship builder
- Detail-oriented
- Technical expertise (e.g. mining process, project management, metallurgy)
- Proven track record.

**Location & Commitments**:
This role will be located in Santiago, Chile or Salta, Argentina and will work in a hybrid format. International travel to other Summit locations, or to visit customers may be required up to 20% of the time.
