**Preferred Qualifications and Experiences**
- University degree in Early Childhood education.
- Experience teaching Art in an early childhood setting.
- Experience in writing sequenced curriculum for diverse learners.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English with advanced written and oral communication skills.
- Advanced English communication skills, both written and oral.
- Experience in a multicultural school environment.

**Skills**
Ability to design developmentally appropriate Art lessons that advance the Early Years
- school purpose statement and Units of Inquiry.- Ability to design Art curriculum that connects to Early Learning standards..
- Ability to connect and interact with students on a developmental level appropriate for young
- children.- Excellent human relations skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both host
- country and international students and parents.- Ability to work both independently, and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
- A passion for Art and Early Childhood education.
- Plan learning experiences that attend to the standards of the Early Learning domains.
- Plan and deliver Art lessons aligned with the Early Years Units of Inquiry.
- Provide whole group instruction along with small group and individual support, as needed.
- Monitor, document and evaluate student growth in relation to learning objectives.
- Support students to develop their creativity and expression through the visual arts.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues in creating authentic learning experiences for
- students.- Plan, organize, and participate in special events such as Fiestas Patrias, celebrations of
- learning, end of year celebrations, or as requested by the Director.- Responsible for supervision, safety and well-being of students, both in the classroom and on
- the playground.- Assist classroom Teacher and Teaching Assistant during supervision of whole group and
- small group activities.- Maintain an orderly, clean, and safe classroom/school environment
- Communicate and coordinate all functions of the Art program with Teachers, Assistant
- Teachers and the Director.- Timely and clear communication with parents.
