**Position Details**

Position Name: EYS Teacher (Permanent Sub - Flex Cap)
Reports to: EYS Director
Time commitment: Full-time

**Preferred Qualifications and Experiences**
- University degree in Early Years Education
- Fully bilingual in Spanish and English with advanced writing and communication skills
- Experience in a multicultural school environment
- Collaborative team member
- Competent computer skills
- Knowledge of and experience in supporting children with diverse learning needs and/or
- special needs, including inclusive strategies and differentiation.
- Knowledge of and experience in outdoor learning education with the ability to use natural
- environments to support exploration, wellbeing, and learning
- Ability to actively engage with children in outdoor learning environments
- Comfortable spending extended periods outdoors in varying weather conditions

**Skills**
- Ability to connect with young children, communicating clearly and kindly with them
- Excellent human relations skills in order to communicate effectively

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
- Under guidance of lead teacher and grade level team, prepare materials and conduct other

clerical tasks
- Assist teacher with administrative records and preparation of required reports and general

record-keeping
- Under direction of lead teacher, assist with instruction of individuals, small groups, or whole

group management
- Work collaboratively with the other class Assistant Teacher and Team members
- Maintain an orderly, clean, and safe classroom/school environment
- Lead student transitions throughout campus and supervise students in breaks, lunches, etc.
- Assume the role of a substitute Teacher in any EYS classroom/specials if needed
- Perform other related duties as requested by the School, if temporary and/or extraordinary

circumstances require them or the needs of the School require
