**The Work You'll Do**:
As a **Senior Sales Engineer** at Sovos, you'll play a pivotal role in driving our global tax information reporting solutions forward. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to both our internal Sales teams and our clients, combining deep technical expertise with strategic thinking to solve complex compliance challenges. This role offers the opportunity to mentor and guide Sales Engineers while directly engaging with Fortune 500 companies and organizations worldwide that depend on our solutions to maintain compliance across borders and industries.
Tax information reporting is critical to business operations globally, and you'll be at the forefront of helping organizations navigate these complex requirements. Your expertise will shape how we demonstrate value to prospects, onboard new clients, and continuously elevate our sales approach.
- More specifically, you will:_
- Challenge ineffective sales processes and champion best practices that drive results and client satisfaction
- Maintain expert-level understanding of product functionality and technical architecture, ensuring you can articulate value propositions for diverse client needs
- Lead the client discovery process to uncover challenges and ensure the right solutions are proposed for organizations of all sizes
- Design and deliver strategic sales and solution presentations that resonate with stakeholders from technical teams to C-suite executives
- Develop and facilitate training sessions for Sales Engineers and cross-functional teams, building organizational capability
- Guide Sales Engineers in creating and delivering customized solution demonstrations using Sovos SaaS platforms
- Lead the development of compelling RFP and RFI responses that position Sovos as the partner of choice
- Collaborate with onboarding teams to ensure seamless transitions from sales to implementation for new clients
- Continuously enhance demonstration capabilities, training programs, and proposal content to reflect market evolution
- Represent Sovos with integrity and ethical behavior across all stakeholder interactions, both internally and externally
**What We Need From You**
- Minimum 4+ years of sales-related experience with demonstrated success in client-facing roles
- Strategic mindset with the ability to balance big-picture business outcomes with day-to-day execution and deadlines
- Strong collaborative approach with proven experience thriving in fast-paced, team-oriented environments
- Exceptional ability to manage competing priorities, maintain focus under pressure, and work extended hours when required
- Proficiency with MS Office suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong business ethics and ability to maintain discretion with sensitive information
- Self-motivated with a demonstrated drive to achieve and exceed goals
- Willingness to travel moderately for client meetings, trade shows, and special projects, including international travel
- Ability to interact effectively with teammates, colleagues, and customers across cultures and time zones
- Strong capability to comprehend and communicate complex technical and business concepts clearly
- Proven analytical skills with the ability to concentrate and resolve complex challenges
