About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Representative to join our team. As an Inside Sales Professional, you will play a crucial role in driving sales growth by interacting with existing customers, primarily through phone and email. Your primary objective will be to increase sales of our products and services by obtaining and up-selling orders.
Responsibilities:
- Obtain orders through email and telephone calls, verify and enter items, transfer orders to fulfillment, explain stock-outs and expected delivery dates.
- Increase orders by suggesting related items, explaining features, and checking customer's buying history.
- Own, qualify, and develop opportunities passed from marketing, outside sales, and national accounts.
- Identify ways for continuous improvement of processes.
- Prepare, generate, and follow up on verbal or written quotations to secure orders or determine reason for loss of order.
- Review open customer order reports and take action on open items, including those at risk of meeting customer's promised delivery date.
- Maintain distribution system backorder report, associated customer expediting report, and notices, as well as customer notifications.
- Report industry trends, competitive pricing, and customer feedback to management.
Requirements:
- A High School degree or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- You should have knowledge and experience in sales and sales administration, with the ability to acquire higher-level knowledge and skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills are necessary.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and work in a team environment.
- Clear communication skills, both verbally and in writing, are essential.
- Attention to detail and the ability to prospect and market concepts to existing and potentially new accounts are required.
- Proven problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with general supervision are necessary.
- Able to travel up to 25% of the time.
Salary and Benefits:
The estimated salary for this position is $60,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience and location. Wesco offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
