Offshore Wind Turbine Technical Specialist

Position Overview
- As a Technical Support Engineer, you will deliver both remote and onsite assistance for systems and components related to Offshore wind turbines.
- We are expanding our dedicated Technical Support (L1) team to enhance our service for the Offshore turbine platform.
- Please note that relocation assistance is not available for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced troubleshooting of direct drive wind turbines by analyzing remote data.
- Guide site technicians through non-destructive testing and troubleshooting via telephone, video calls, or augmented reality.
- Respond to technical inquiries from sites, providing clear, step-by-step troubleshooting guidance.
- Assist various teams, including commissioning, spares, and aftermarket, with parts identification and specifications to minimize turbine downtime.
- Manage cases in multiple case management systems, prioritizing turbine down situations.
- Support the training team by offering technical insights and conducting training sessions as required.
- Ensure a response time of under 48 hours and case resolution or escalation within 5 days.
- Collaborate with the commissioning team to address technical issues during the transition from project to operational phase.
- Clearly communicate technical issues to diverse audiences.
- Aid the documentation team in drafting technical, quality, and safety documents.
- Work with the Quality, Environment, Health, and Safety team to conduct rapid risk assessments and develop quality documents as needed.
- Analyze failure trends and material usage through data analytics.
- Participate in a flexible shift pattern to provide coverage throughout the week.
- Maintain organized documentation for quick access.
- Be prepared to travel up to 25% of the time and work hands-on at heights of 70 meters or more when necessary.
- Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on customer service and professionalism.
- Complete required training, including fitness tests and safety protocols, in accordance with Offshore platform standards.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an Associate Engineering degree with a minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in wind turbine troubleshooting, or a Diploma with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
- Bilingual proficiency in English is mandatory; Spanish is preferred.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer-sponsored work authorization.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an Associate Engineering degree with substantial experience in wind turbine troubleshooting.
- Expertise in advanced troubleshooting techniques for direct drive wind turbines through remote data analysis.
