**Descripción del empleo**:
The professional will provide technical support to the Business Development unit during the entirety of the development process of its renewable energy project pipeline working alongside teammates from all disciplines within the company both locally and abroad. The role requires good theoretical knowledge of mechanical and physics concepts related to renewable energy and fluid dynamics as well as a high willingness to learn fundamental skills to conduct project development.
- You will be required to perform configuration analysis for projects in Statkraft’s portfolio, focused in Andes Region (currenty Chile an Peru).
- Assist with the design of the layout from the initial conceptual stage through to the final construction stage.
- Actively participate in the interdisciplinary design and optimisation efforts of wind farm designs within the relevant constraints.
- Assist in the analysis of technical documentation from wind turbine suppliers, to assist in carrying out appropriate project design, site suitability assessments, site specific power curve selection and turbine supply agreements.
- Responsible for the management of meteorological stations and the location and installation of remote sensors, including instrument selection, for the development of new installations or acquired projects.
- Responsible for the design of wind measurement campaigns and for participating in follow-up measurements.
- Provide technical input on different development activities, such as land lease negotiations, environmental assessments, permitting processes, financial assessments, among others.
- Study and maintain knowledge of leading industry methods, practices and standards (local and international).
- Involved in ongoing weather mast assignment and power curve measurement processes.
- Design of project specific measurement campaigns in complex and non-complex terrain to minimise resource uncertainty.

**Requisitos**:

- Strong desire to learn technical skills in the development of renewable projects.
- Between 2 and 3 years of experience in wind and solar project development.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Geophysics (specialising in meteorology), or related degree with good theoretical background in fluid dynamics.
- Knowledge of meteorological flows, technologies and forecasting is desirable.
- Knowledge of CFD modelling and mesoscale modelling would be a plus but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with meteorological data collection equipment (Lidar/Sodar/Met Mast), including data loggers and instrumentation.
- Ability to communicate technical or meteorological concepts effectively to a broad spectrum of technical and non-technical internal audiences, and to document them in concrete and understandable terms.
- Advanced English language skills are strongly desired, as the professional will need constant communication with the international Wind & Site unit.
- Desire to work in a multicultural and international environment with constant communication and interaction with other teams and external parties.
