Job Title: FSI Sales Engineer

**Responsibilities**:

- As a Federal Systems Integrator Sales Engineer you will be responsible for working with the FSI account managers to build solutions with key FSI’s working in the U.S. Federal markets. Sales Engineers are pre-sales, trusted technical advisors that work in close partnership with Federal systems integrators.
- Own FSI or specialized technical strategy, depending upon assignment. Build go to market solutions with the FSIs.
- Work to setup Veritas solutions in the FSI demonstration labs.
- Develop FSI Lunch and learns and enable the FSI Architects.
- Define, analyze, and present solutions to end-user data management problems or technically enable and validate channel partners.
- Work to position Veritas Products and Services in all types of deployment, Edge to Core to Cloud.
- Collaborate closely with account teams to technically close deals and achieve new booking’s goal, as well as Product Management to ensure solutions align with market/customer needs.
- Provides technical expertise and technical closure for a specific solution within assigned accounts and/or territories.
- Maintain product/solution expertise of market trends in aligned technology including detailed understanding of the competition
- Provide high level solution design for information security or information management
- Be able to present the Veritas technical vision and offering strategy to all levels across the customer internally and externally (e.g., technical or business leads)
- Maintaining key relationships/contacts within the Sales organization, customers, and partners.
- Develop plan to achieve objectives and new bookings quota
- Help customers define their technical problems and architect solutions
- Build relationships w/ tech influencers
- Provides input on product direction

Minimum Required Skills include:

- Cloud experience, certification expertise preferred.
- Architect level knowledge and experience is required.
- Hands on capabilities are required. Experience with Windows and Linux is required.
- Previous Veritas Expertise especially within NetBackup is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or MIS - typically 7+ years of SE
- Larger deal technical closure
- Provides input on product direction
- May mentor other SEs as Team Lead
- Sought after resource by sales and other SEs within the district
- Proven track record of building and maintaining excellent customer relationships with both technical and business stakeholders
- Ability to map Veritas offerings against customer needs and to identify new opportunities within the territory/customers
- Understanding of operational cadence in specific areas. Ensures operating within compliance from a process, legal and revenue recognition.
- Presents themselves in a professional manner, being a representative of their organization
