DHL Global Forwarding is the world leader in air freight services and one of the leading providers of ocean freight services.

DHL Same Day is an international expedited transportation company which is part of DHL Global Forwarding.

With our flexibility of services meeting the emergency shipment needs of a wide range of industries, whether it's the extensive database of aircraft parts we maintain for our Aircraft On Ground clients, or expediting mission-critical parts globally for the US Department of Defense, or the ability to meet time-critical temperature-sensitive needs unique to Life Sciences and clinical trial logistics, DHL Same Day gets the shipment there, when it has to be, for any business or organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the face of DHLSD for assigned territory, accounts.
  • Collaborate/network within other BU's e.g., CSI, DHLE, DGF, DHL Supply Chain.
  • Collaborate with internal functions that support the sales process (Product, Sales Support, Operations, HR, IT, Legal, Finance, etc.), gather required input and coordinate actions.
  • Work in close cooperation with operations teams to ensure quality and improve performance.
  • Identify, establish, and manage multitiered relationships across customer and DHL BUs to ensure a longterm business partnership and achievement of corporate goals.
  • Continuously review business potential and identify potential business opportunities.
  • Ensure alignment and attainment of short and longterm growth targets within territory.
  • Develop strategies to increase sales penetration and profits.
  • Leverage resources to identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Manage the development of business acquisition projects ensuring targeted revenue and profitability levels.
  • Develop presentations and proposals of customized solutions for various decisionmaking audiences to close on new business.
  • Lead and manage customer presentations and proposals.
  • Build executive relationships with target customers.
  • Acquire, manage, and develop profitable business from customers within assigned territory.
  • Assess customer needs and match them with DHLSD services.
  • Ensure common understanding of service expectations and solutions between the customer and SD.
  • Maintain accurate and timely details for all opportunities in CRM Sales Force.
  • Accurately and timely report sales activities in Sales Force aligned with strategic assigned territory growth initiatives.
  • Submit in a timely manner expenses approved for reimbursement.
  • Promote and support bestpractice transfer.

What we look for:

  • 7+ years proven successful sales experience, preferably in the transportation/logistics industry.


Required
  • English and Spanish proficiency written and oral.


Desired
  • Portuguese.
  • Excellent operational process knowledge with strategic perspective.
  • Good allround communicator with written, oral and presentation skills at all levels.
  • Good at establishing working relationships and developing personal contacts.
  • Crosscultural competence.
  • Strategic vision and insight of market evolution with strong analytical skills, planning and decisionmaking competencies.
  • Systematic problemsolving approach.
  • University Degree in Business Management or other, preferably also a postgraduate Business Degree or equivalent through experience.
