**Basic Qualifications**:
**Education**:Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commercial Engineer or related to the position.
**Experience**:5 years exempt experience in corporate credit analysis in financial institutions, sales (focus on finance), financial statement analysis and/or accounting is recommended.
**Knowledge**:
- Advanced math computation skills, credit analysis, credit worthiness and other mathematical concepts, including those used in financial modeling and forecasting.
- Finance/leasing products, policies and procedures.
- Bad debt concept and examples of financial enhancements
- Commercial laws and restrictions governing operations of CFSC, including laws and procedures governing liens against equipment.
- Knowledge of credit and documentation processes, procedures and operations.
- Knowledge about Construction and Mining industry
**Abilities**:
- Establish and maintain customer relations
- Read and analyze various financial and business reports
- Analyze commercial accounts to determine credit worthiness and establish limits
- Perform financial statement analysis.
- Provide leadership for the credit staff for new business and ensure their focus is on portfolio quality goals.

- Create and maintain an environment conducive to collaboration between other departments.
- Create an environment for employees to develop and optimize their performance potential.

**Job Duties**:
Provide supervision to the credit staff in the daily operations of Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation’s (CFSC) U.S. operations to maximize the productivity, profitability, and customer service of the department.
1. Manages the daily credit approval and credit investigation activities for the department and supervises and distributes work assignments to the staff who perform those functions.
2. Reviews transactions in excess of the Credit Analyst’s authority.
3. Makes recommendations for approval to manager when transactions exceed credit authority and assists in recommending and obtaining approvals for overline submissions as needed.
4. Develops and implements individual career development plans for employees. Coordinates training for all employees.
5. Monitors KCP measurements to ensure customer service goals are achieved. Monitor activities and progress of Credit Analysts, which included performance evaluations and training.
6. Reviews expenses to control the budget.
7. Works with management in Document Services and Sales Support to ensure quotes and documents accurately reflect credit decisions, which includes the negotiation of documents as needed.
8. Acts as a primary contact for Caterpillar Dealers within assigned credit territory. Interacts with end-users, if necessary, to negotiate the terms and conditions of credit decisions.
9. Assists in the development and implementation of workflow processes for the department. Consults with manager regarding changes to credit policies.
10. Works with Sales team to negotiate acceptable approval of credit submissions and ensure the credit analyst were meeting all customer and sales service manuals..
11. Participates in accomplishment of continuous improvement objectives for the department. Progress toward accomplishment of these is measured through maintenance of necessary measurements and analysis of associated data. Participates in the identification of problem areas and development of resolutions to address them.
