At Golder Chile we have a new opportunity for a **Marketing & Communications Leader** for **Latin America**to join our team on a full time basis based in Santiago, Chile. As Latin America Communication leader you will work in concert with the Global Director of Internal Communications and the communication specialist for the Mining region and the Latin Americas Leadership team to design, develop and deliver a communication plan and campaigns in Latin America.

We are looking for a Highly-skilled communication professional with superior interpersonal and technology skills, who can confidently lead people engagement and communication execution (both internal and external) in Latin America (LA).

A primary focus is to instill a sense of pride and excitement about working and help employees understand where the company is going, why its matters, and how they contribute, connecting with the 5-Year Global and Regional strategies and Annual Business Plans. The role is also responsible for the development and delivery of strategic client communication to support business growth objectives.

Keen attention to details, client service orientation, and creativity in problem solving. Strong team player and ability to work with diverse employee community a must. Able and willing to contribute to the total cross-functional effectiveness of the organization, communicating openly, solving problems proactively, offering creative ideas and working as a positive, engaged team member.

**An overview of your role will include**:

- Develop, implement, and measure the effectiveness of the annual communications plan for Latin America, based on the global communication plan, including management of the communication calendar.
- Work with the Latin American Management Team and other key stakeholders, listening to their needs, and translating needs into appropriate actions (within company standards) by creating targeted communications for measurable results that fit to the overall global messaging plan. Attention must be paid to how to keep a universal employee experience, while remaining attuned to the local community and cultural needs.
- Serve as lead content manager for Latin America intranet. Lead the generation of online content that engage staff audience segment. Decide who, where, and when to disseminate.
- Facilitating the generation of content (Digital, print, multimedia, including videos and podcast) that engage staff audience segments. Recommend how to disseminate across channels.
- Writing compelling stories for employee audiences with and understanding of how to maximize information throughout the information life cycle.
- Track and measure the level of engagement resulting from communication efforts over time. Advice on adjustments to plan to improve on results.
- Strategize and support internal leadership meetings including meeting planning, preparation, and outcome communications.
- Serve as partner to Latin America VP in engaging leadership in cascading information accurately and effectively through the organization to drive measurable actions.
- Represent communication on work groups and committees including HSSE/Crisis Response programs.
- Manage English-Spanish-Portuguese language translations as required.
- ** External Communications (Marketing /PR)**:

- Work with leaders across the organization to understand business needs, develop marketing plans and roadmaps to support business development, trade show and promotional activities, gather and evaluate client feedback and ensure marketing tools methodologies and approaches are adapted to support shifts in industry sectors and new client opportunities.
- Oversees marketing process and practices, ensuring that all publish materials, marketing collateral and the website consistently reflects branding requirements.
- Connect with Marketing Leaders in other regions to maximize the collaboration and consistency, minimizing the duplications of efforts.
- Develop publications; writing speaking notes; preparing spokespersons to communicate; planning and executing social events.
- Work collaborations and effectively with PR agencies to promote and protect the brand.

**Qualifications**

You will have the following skills and attributes:

- University degree in Journalism and/or Communications (preferably Masters or Ph.D. in the same field)
- 10+ years' of work experience in the field of communication and marketing in companies with more than 100 collaborators (preferably in the engineering and/or mining sector).
