We are looking for a driven and analytical individual to join our team as a Specialist - Capital, reporting to the Manager - Business, Planning, Analysis & Reporting. In this role, you will support key initiatives across two critical areas: Capital Management & Portfolio Management and TWC & Cash Management. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid background in Finance, Commercial, or Project Management to contribute to both capital investment strategies and trade working capital optimization.

In Capital Management & Portfolio Management, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving capital documentation, supporting the Capital Review Committee (CRC), and ensuring the efficient management of capital contract pipelines. You will work closely with regional stakeholders, providing insights on capital forecasting and risk assessment while managing the Capital Budget Process. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Finance Business Partner (FBP) Analyst to align cash requirements with capital expenditures.

In TWC & Cash Management, you will play a pivotal role in monitoring credit limit exposures and driving the performance of debtor accounts, working to improve customer payment behaviors and reduce risk exposure. You will assist in gathering and analyzing data to develop strategies for optimizing Trade Working Capital (TWC). Additionally, you will support cash flow monitoring efforts, identify liquidity risks, and help execute mitigation strategies.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys tackling complex financial challenges, collaborating with diverse stakeholders, and contributing to the continuous improvement of cash management processes and financial outcomes.

**What you will be doing**
- Collaborate with regional stakeholders to manage and update capital expenditure outlooks, ensuring alignment with company financial objectives and providing early insights on risks and opportunities
- Provide financial guidance on business proposals for the Capital Review Committee (CRC) and Orica Investment Committee (OIC), ensuring compliance with capital guidelines and new requirements
- Maintain and enhance documentation standards to support capital expenditure presentations, driving clarity and consistency in submissions for CRC/OIC review
- Monitor capital project spending and performance, ensuring alignment with forecasts and budgets. Proactively raise early warnings and implement action plans with the Capital Lead
- Lead the capital budget process in collaboration with regional finance teams, ensuring prioritization processes and metrics are met
- Support the performance tracking of capital-related KPIs such as Quality of Planning and Quality of Forecasting, implementing improvement plans as necessary
- Liaise with the Finance Business Partner (FBP) to ensure cash requirements are effectively managed and aligned with capital expenditures
- Contribute to standardizing and improving cash management processes across the region, ensuring consistency and efficiency
- Engage regularly with key stakeholders, including corporate teams, regional leads, and finance business partners to ensure alignment with capital and cash management strategies
- Ensure credit limit exposure frameworks are applied across the region, leading annual reviews and aligning with financial strategies for new proposals
- Track and analyze the performance of problematic debtor accounts, developing action plans to improve payment performance and mitigate risk exposure
- Assist in optimizing Trade Working Capital (TWC) by gathering and analyzing data to support the development of strategies, ensuring alignment with regional targets
