Position Summary
We are seeking a structured, proactive Procurement Specialist to manage and optimize the procurement processes for our short-term rental properties at Andes STR. In this role, you will be crucial in ensuring that all necessary goods and services are acquired efficiently, balancing cost-effectiveness with quality and operational demands. You will design and implement scalable procurement frameworks, negotiate supplier contracts, and maintain strong vendor relationships to guarantee the financial sustainability and smooth operation of our services.
What You'll Do
- Develop and Optimize Procurement Processes: Design and implement comprehensive procurement frameworks and protocols that balance operational fluidity with cost efficiency and financial sustainability, ensuring scalability and profitability.
- Strategic Sourcing and Negotiation: Lead the search and evaluation of new suppliers, negotiate contracts and pricing, and secure favorable terms for goods and services required for property operations.
- Establish and Monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs): Define, implement, and track Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with key suppliers to ensure service quality, adherence to standards, and timely corrective actions.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Manage day-to-day vendor relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for performance reviews and issue resolution to ensure high-quality service and timely delivery.
- Cost Reduction and Analysis: Conduct market analysis and spend analysis to identify opportunities for strategic sourcing, volume discounts, and cost-reduction initiatives without compromising service quality.
- Operational Hygiene: Maintain organized documentation of all supplier contracts, SLAs, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to procurement.
Experience
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Supply Chain Management, ideally within fast-paced or tech-enabled environments.
- Proven track record of success in negotiating contracts and managing complex vendor relationships.
- Required: Strong Excel/Sheets skills and comfort with data analysis to model scenarios and track supplier performance.
- Preferred: Experience establishing and monitoring vendor performance through SLAs or KPIs.
What You Bring
- Advanced written and verbal English proficiency (Must-have, in addition to Spanish) for confident negotiation and stakeholder management.
- Clear written/verbal communication; organized, proactive problem-solver with strong analytical and structured thinking.
- Formal Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Commercial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent experience).
- Nice to have: Exposure to BI tools (Looker Studio / Power BI / Tableau), and basic automation tools (Zapier/Make) or basic Python for analysis/automation.
