High School Principal

**Position Details**
Position Name: High School Principal
Reports to: Head of School
Time commitment: Full-time

**Position Summary**:The International School Nido de Aguilas seeks a highly qualified educational
leader to serve as High School Principal. The School requires an academic leader with expertise in
be a dynamic educator with a successful track record of implementing innovative and progressive
academic programs, services, and practices. They will collaborate across all divisions and strive to
meet Nido's mission to connect, explore, and act, serving as the instructional leader of Grades nine
through twelve and managing the total operation of the high School. The Principal will provide
leadership, inspiration, and supervision for the educational development of students and staff, as
well as promote parent and community involvement.

**Preferred Qualifications and Experiences**
Experienced administrator with teaching experience, preferably at the high school level
- Academic knowledge and skills to be the instructional leader of an innovative high school
- Demonstrated commitment to and experience with work around diversity, equity inclusion,
- and belonging in schools
- Experience with English as an Additional Language (EAL) and Learning Support programs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Established track record as a creative problem solver
- Spanish language ability preferred
- Advanced degree(s)

- Support parents and alumni who are proud of their School
- Grow an ever stronger community spirit at Nido
- Strengthen, support, and sustain an innovative high school to develop students who will
- become the connectors, thinkers, inquirers, designers, and changemakers the world needs
- Guide the faculty in exploring and implementing new instructional strategies and

programmatic structures that strengthen the educational program and provide a meaningful
and positive student experience
- Be a data-driven, detailed-oriented, highly organized leader in helping to resolve current

areas of concern, including fiscal sustainability, curricular expression and alignment, and
school climate
- Be a visible and vocal steward of Nido's traditions and unique identity as an educational

institution
- Be an engaged and positive participant in cross-divisional collaboration and being a team

player and effective partner for the senior administrative team
- Take the time to listen to and learn from staff, students, and families to ensure a smooth

and productive transition
