**Job Description**:
The Corporate Affairs and Communications Associate Director is responsible for managing and overseeing strategic communications and public affairs initiatives. This role involves working closely with local, regional, and global internal stakeholders, as well as external stakeholders, including government bodies, regulatory agencies, patient advocacy groups, healthcare professionals and the public.

This individual will be responsible for all external and internal initiatives and communications, partnering with the country leadership team. They will support leadership communications, institutional relations, reputation management, and external campaigns in support of therapeutic areas. They will also lead and coordinate ESG/SDG and social responsibility-related activities (both local, regional, and corporate programs), as well as corporate philanthropy initiatives.

The position will manage the internal communications specialist.

**Primary responsibilities**:

- ** Agency Management**
- Overall management of agencies (social media, communication, PR, etc.) in support of business goals, company reputation, and ESG/SDG priorities.
- Oversee strategic and tactical planning process.
- Manage and keep track of Communications Budget execution.
- **
Strategic Communications**
- Develop a public relation and thought leadership strategy.
- Work collaboratively with the franchise teams to develop and implement communications programs and materials in support of key franchises (oncology, vaccines).
- Support the business with communications strategies and plans that help shape the environment and encourage stronger adoption of innovative medicines.
- ** External engagement/reputation**
- Represent the leadership team/Managing Director in strategic engagements.
- Identify and cultivate media contacts, manage the dissemination of media information.
- Collaborate with HR to position our organization as a top employer/leader in the industry/country.
- Build strategic relationships with thought leaders, policy makers, patient organizations, HCP, media, and who influence access to innovative medicines.
- Identify and lead social investment/philanthropy initiatives.
- ** Internal Communications**
- Coordinate closely with other areas to support communications initiatives/needs.
- Work with MD and leadership team on companywide internal events (e.g., Town Hall meetings)
- Develop employee communications in support of key local/regional programs and initiatives.
- Coordinate and ensure accuracy of translations for internal and external communications.
- ** Compliance**
- Understand the regulatory environment and comply with internal policies for external communications, social responsibility and philanthropy activities, and strategic partnership.

**Education**:

- Required: Bachelor's Degree
- Desirable: Master´s Degree

**Required Experience and Skills**:

- 5+ years of proven experience in a communications or public relations role.
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills as well as established local network.
- Ability to analyze problems and to anticipate risks that may affect a project.
- High ethics, integrity, and discretion; ability to build trustworthy relationships.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills in English and Spanish across a variety of mediums/channels (e.g., print, digital, presentation).
- Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and competing priorities.
- Team player, collaborative spirit, ability to succeed in a fast-paced, high-visibility role.
- Budget and agency management experience.
