This role will be responsible for leading the company's accounting and tax area, ensuring full compliance with Chilean tax and accounting obligations. The position will oversee the preparation, review, and submission of monthly tax returns (VAT, PPM, with holdings) and annual filings (Income Tax, affidavits, Annual Tax Return, Transfer Pricing), as well as coordination with external auditors and the Chilean Tax Authority (SII). The role will also serve as the main contact with HQ for local and corporate tax matters and will report directly to the Local Finance Director.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Prepare and file monthly tax returns (VAT, PPM, with holdings on fees, second category, etc.).

  2. Prepare and submit the annual corporate income tax return (Form 22) and all statutory affidavits (F1887, F1947, F1950, F1907, etc.).

  3. Prepare and coordinate Transfer Pricing reports (F1907, F1951, F1953, etc.), ensuring compliance with SII regulations and methodologies.

  4. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual tax estimations for financial projection and provisioning purposes.

  5. Coordinate and support SII audits and requirements.

  6. Supervise the general accounting process, ensuring compliance with local GAAP/IFRS and corporate policies.

  7. Oversee the monthly and annual closing process, ensuring integrity and accuracy of financial information.

  8. Monitor and implement changes in tax and accounting regulations.

  9. Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors in reviews and reports.

  10. Prepare reports on tax risks and contingencies for management and HQ.

  11. Support the preparation of the local tax financial statements.

Profile & Competencies

  1. Education: CPA or Chartered Accountant, ideally with postgraduate studies in Taxation.

  2. Experience: 5–8 years in accounting and taxation, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.

  3. Advanced English proficiency; interviews will be conducted in English.

Technical Knowledge:

  1. Strong knowledge of Chilean tax legislation (VAT, corporate tax, affidavits, tax regimes).

  2. Proven experience in Transfer Pricing (reporting, sworn affidavits, coordination with specialized advisors).

  3. Skilled in SII platform and ERP/accounting systems.

  4. Experience with IFRS and financial reporting.

  5. Ability to prepare tax estimates and provisions for financial planning.
