Tax Coordinator

As a Tax Coordinator, you will ensure full compliance with national and municipal tax regulations. Reporting to the Tax Manager and working closely with the Country Controller, you'll play a key role in managing formal tax obligations and supporting a strong compliance culture.

What You'll Do

• Maximize tax benefits from operations, minimizing risk and tax contingencies.
• Ensure processes are in compliance with Tax country legislation, U.S. GAAP and Company Policies in terms of Taxes.
• Ensure that identified internal, external or Sox audit gaps; related to Tax are remediate on a timely basis.
• Prepare taxes calculations in the Annual Operating Plan and monthly estimates.
• Develop talent for the Tax department, including development of professionals within the business and succession planning.
• Coordinate audit activities with external auditors in Tax revisions.
• Work with finance leadership to identify actionable Tax opportunities that can contribute to reduce cost or cash flow generation.
• Evaluate the new operations before the implementation in order to determinate the fiscal impacts or opportunities.
• Coordinate the declaration of Income Tax calculations and the preparation of the information for Transfer Price purposes.
• Have constant communication with Corporate Tax department in order to inform the tax activities of the month and the estimates of the next month.
• Attend, respond and coordinate audits or requests made by local tax authorities.
• Prepare the Adjustment by Inflation for financial and fiscal purposes.
• Build organizational capability for innovation through training and other avenues Identify solutions to market-back challenges by leveraging Open Innovation, emerging technologies, partnerships, networks, suppliers, ideation, etc.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business Administration, Economy, Law or similar.
• Advanced English level (Written & Oral) for direct taxes.
• Minimum 4 to 5 years of progressively more responsible experience in Tax, with minimum 1 to 3 years in a lead management role.
• Minimum 7-year experience with Tax area.
• Track record of achieving measurable business objectives.
• Thorough understanding of country national (state), municipal and federal Taxes included Transfer Price.
• GAAP/IFRS and U.S. GAAP, accounting for tax transactions (FIN 48 & FAS 109)
• Strong knowledge, understanding, and practical skills in relevant systems (i.e. ERP system (SAP preferred), MS Office products, Synchro and Easy Way) as applicable to the country.
• Experienced in building Tax team, developing talent for the organization as evidenced by advancement and success of team members.
• Consulting skills, including the ability to draw on the ideas of key team members and convert them into meaningful plans.
• Strong skills to relationship with other internal areas, customers and tax authority
• Interpersonal skills that establish and maintain excellent relationships and credibility quickly.
• Creates team atmosphere while achieving key objectives.
• Develops team members through coaching and feedback on results.

• Knowledge of transfer pricing.

What Will Set You Apart

• MBA in Finance or Taxes.
• Advanced English for indirect tax.
• Participated of implementation system (SAP) and fiscal system.
• Excellent knowledge in accounting reconciliation and account operations.
