About the Position:
  This is a full-time position available in the Health, Developmental, and Personality Psychology (HUP) Section of the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Social Sciences, at the University of Oslo. The appointee will contribute to the section's research and teaching, with a focus on developmental psychology. The ideal candidate will have a strong research record, extensive teaching experience, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  
  • Develop and teach courses related to developmental psychology, including lectures, seminars, supervision, and examinations.
  • Conduct high-quality research in developmental psychology, publishing regularly in international peer-reviewed journals.
  • Participate in academic administrative functions, serving on boards, committees, and ad-hoc working groups.

Required Qualifications:
  
  • A degree equivalent to a Norwegian doctoral degree in psychology or equivalent.
  • A strong research record in developmental psychology, demonstrating quality, productivity, impact, dissemination, and innovation.
  • Extensive first-hand experience observing, interviewing, or testing typical and/or atypical children and/or adolescents.
  • Solid undergraduate and/or graduate teaching record in developmental psychology.
  • Fluent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Relevant personal qualities, including motivation, teaching and research ambition, and ability to work collaboratively.
