About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Volvo Group. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving business growth and development in the Chilean market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales plans for new trucks and spare parts in Chile, aligning with company targets and budgets.
  • Support importers in reaching their sales volume, market share, and profitability targets for new trucks and spare parts.
  • Create annual sales forecasts by estimating total vehicle sales, gross, and operating profits.
  • Plan and implement objectives for achieving sales and gross profit targets for importers, prepare business review meetings, and contribute to challenging discussions.
  • Participate in commercial policy for pricing, issuing quotations, and coordinating the supply of new vehicles and spare parts.
  • Translate global sales business strategies to adjust key focus areas for local market requirements, develop action plans, and tools to support a profitable, effective, and efficient function.
  • Coordinate between the hub and importer to settle all needed marketing activities to develop brand awareness and promotion of the offer.
  • Coordinate with resources at the hub and market company regarding after-sales activities to contribute to developing the business product and services as per the plan.
Requirements
  • University degree
  • Good understanding of the commercial vehicle industry and business analysis
  • 3-5 years of sales experience, preferably in an export environment
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, Spanish, and French is mandatory
  • Experience in a Spanish-speaking market is a plus
  • Knowledge of commercial vehicle and business solution markets
  • Highly target-driven, self-motivated, and willing to take responsibility
  • Results-orientated and commercially driven, while building foundations for long-term business relations
  • Strong strategic planning and analytical skills, as well as holistic thinking
  • Strong management and communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to interact and influence at all levels both internally and externally
  • High standard of professionalism and operate with integrity (The Volvo Way)
