Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated High School Science Educator to join our team at The International School Nido de Aguilas. As a member of our faculty, you will be responsible for teaching five sections of high school science courses, including IB and non-IB courses.

Responsibilities
  1. Teach five sections of high school science courses, including IB and non-IB courses.
  2. Collaborate with the science department to further develop and improve the science curriculum.
  3. Serve as an Advisor for a small group of 8-12 high school students.
  4. Engage in the co-curricular program at Nido by advising a club or coaching an athletic team.
  5. Participate in the annual Week Without Walls program.
Requirements
  1. IB Chemistry teaching experience and IB training.
  2. Science teaching experience using the NGSS Standards.
  3. Possible teaching experience with IB ESS, IB TOK, or Astronomy (preferred).
  4. Experience with competency-based learning or standards-based learning (preferred).
  5. Solid conceptual and applied knowledge of current research and trends in curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
  6. Demonstrated experience collaborating with colleagues.
  7. A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in high school science.
  8. High English proficiency.

What We Offer

A competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
