The Diagnostic Vascular Ultrasound Manager will play a key role in leading our Diagnostic Vascular Ultrasound Department at NHS Lanarkshire. This is an exciting opportunity to join our experienced and enthusiastic vascular surgical department.

About the Role

As a Clinical Vascular Scientist, you will be responsible for managing and providing a diagnostic vascular ultrasound service within NHS Lanarkshire. This includes scanning patients and ensuring that all necessary investigations are carried out efficiently and effectively.

You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team, including vascular consultants, radiologists, registrars, vascular nurse specialists, vascular scientists, and support staff. We are looking for an individual who is a practising clinical vascular scientist with at least 3 years of post-qualification clinical experience.

The successful candidate will have experience working with and participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and will be fully competent in the following diagnostic scans:

  • Carotid and vertebral arteries
  • Peripheral upper and lower limb arterial duplex
  • Peripheral upper and lower limb venous duplex
  • Graft surveillance
  • AAA and EVAR surveillance
  • Fistula pre and post assessment
  • Treadmill testing
  • ABPI/TBPI's
