About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Solution Manager to join our team at DB Schenker. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing and implementing optimal and sustainable IT solutions that meet the needs of our customers and internal partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Consultancy: Provide expert technical advice and guidance to our PM&I teams and stakeholders on IT-related matters, ensuring that solutions are aligned with Schenker standards and best practices.
  • Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with customers and business stakeholders to clarify and review requirements, conduct feasibility analyses, and maintain close collaboration with all involved parties.
  • Solution Design: Create detailed solution design packages, including visualization, conversion rules, conditions, logics, effort and cost validation, and technical documentation for hand-over to our development teams.
  • Integration and Data Flow: Responsible for the technical solution design to maintain and enhance our Schenker internal data flow, ensuring seamless integration with our IT landscape systems.
  • Process Analysis and Optimization: Analyze and support the production environment, and continuously analyze and optimize existing processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • International Collaboration: Discuss projects and exchange knowledge and experiences in an international environment, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate degree in Computer Science, IT management, or comparable education with excellent degree.
  • Experience: Proven experience in project management for EDI or API projects, with a strong understanding of common formats of data interchanges (EDIFACT, ANSI X.12, XML, JSON, SAP IDoc, RosettaNet, etc.).
  • Technical Skills: Practical skills in technical communication protocols and experience in dealing with standard integration platforms or converter software.
  • Logistics Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the logistics industry and its processes would be advantageous.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and team orientation skills, with the ability to work in a virtually self-organized team and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Language Skills: Fluent written and spoken Business English, with adequate communication capabilities on an international level.
