This role is a hybrid position that combines the skills of a Linux/Nginx engineer and video delivery expert. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Mediastream's content delivery network (CDN) infrastructure and services, ensuring fast, secure, robust, and scalable access to our digital services for users globally, with a focus on video encoding and transcoding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Optimization: Configure and optimize the CDN infrastructure to enhance content delivery speed and security, while ensuring operational continuity and scalability.
  • Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor CDN performance, identify bottlenecks, and make adjustments as needed to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Security Measures: Implement robust security measures to safeguard the CDN against threats, including DDoS attacks, and work closely with cybersecurity teams to implement security policies.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with application development and content teams to ensure efficient integration of the CDN and optimal content delivery.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Network Infrastructure Management: Advanced knowledge of BGP, DNS, DHCP, NTP, TCP/IP, FTP, Firewalls, and other networking technologies.
  • Application and Network Monitoring Tools: Intermediate knowledge of Datadog or similar tools.
  • Scripting and Programming: Intermediate-level scripting skills in BASH, RUBY, PYTHON, or other programming languages.
  • AWS CloudFront & Route 53: Intermediate knowledge of AWS cloud services.
  • Video Encoding and Transcoding: Exceptional expertise in video encoding and transcoding technologies.
  • Education and Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Systems, Networks, or related fields, along with additional certifications in Cloud, Cisco, Linux, Networking, Nginx, Docker, or Streaming Technologies.
Working Conditions

Mediastream offers a partially remote work arrangement, with opportunities to work from home some days a week. Health coverage is provided, with employees enjoying paid health insurance or copays. A computer is also provided for work purposes, and an informal dress code applies.
