Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Global Ethics and Compliance Specialist to join our team in Latin America. As a key member of our ethics and compliance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of ethics and compliance across the region.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead Regional Ethics and Compliance Team: Oversee the implementation of global ethics and compliance activities in the region, reporting directly to the Head of Ethics and Compliance for the Americas and indirectly to the WSP Global Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer.
  • Select, Train, and Supervise Team Members: Select, train, and supervise a regional ethics and compliance team to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Manage Regional Budget: Manage the budget of the regional ethics and compliance function, ensuring that all expenses are properly accounted for and aligned with company policies.
  • Provide Regular Updates: Provide regular updates to the WSP Global Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer and executive management of the region on the performance of the function, including metrics tied to regional performance and compensation.
  • Update Regional Management: Update regional management on regulatory developments in the region related to ethics and compliance, providing guidance on mitigating risks and addressing ethical and reputationally sensitive matters.
Key Requirements:
  • Academic Degree (or Equivalent): Hold an academic degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field such as law, business, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in Ethics and Compliance: Have at least 10 years of experience in an ethics and compliance role, preferably in an international company.
  • Language Skills: Be fluent in English and Spanish, with excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively with employees, executives, lawyers, and auditors.
  • Knowledge of Anti-Corruption Regimes: Have knowledge of anti-corruption, fair competition, anti-money-laundering, sanctions, and human rights protection regimes applicable to companies working in the region's countries.
Location

The primary location for this role is Chile, with other locations including Brazil, Mexico, Panama, Argentina, Colombia, Trinidad and Tobago, and Peru.
