Your Role at Baxter
As a Medical Science Liaison, you will be a point of contact with clinical investigators seeking investigator-initiated research (IIR) support and with scientific authorities to find opportunities and sites for future Baxter-sponsored research. You will develop professional relationships with Surgeon KOLs in key therapeutic areas of the Advanced Surgery business.
What You'll Do
- Drive medical strategy in Latam North for Advanced Surgery
- Customer-facing position as the primary scientific authority in the Surgical therapy area and function as a product guide to internal and external customers in Latam North countries
- Be well informed on therapeutic areas, up to date on major studies both ongoing/completed, and driven product information/clinical data
- Assist with special projects in the therapeutic area including medical affairs, Live tissue surgical labs, CMEs, advisory boards, KOL interactions, Nurse training, scientific reviews, Investigators meetings, etc.
- Review materials to ensure that they meet the compliance standards of accuracy and integrity
- Develop/implement projects and research ethically in line with strategies/assist coordination of clinical trials in association with local and global teams
- Interact with market access and the commercial team to provide support
- Share medical information with KOL's about scientific and clinical guidelines, differentiating product attributes and outcomes studies
- Represent Baxter Medical Affairs at medical congresses and conventions, staffing overseeing medical education booths
