The Accounts Receivable Specialist III role focuses on KPI tracking, leadership reporting, and customer collection best practices.

This specialist ensures timely and accurate ownership of full-cycle accounts receivable processes through consistent and effective processes.

The role coordinates the month-end closing process and contributes to presentations, partnering with the business to highlight key insights and translate complex matters into actionable next steps.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reviews credit terms to minimize collection risk
  • Owning clean up and recovery efforts on target accounts
  • Fostering strong relationships with Sales, Operations, and Customer Service to resolve delinquencies and address credit risk
  • Collaborating with the business to identify root causes of overdue customer balances
  • Driving actions to achieve financial targets
  • Properly documenting all collection activity in AR system
  • Owning billing and invoice submission via Oracle and BDO/local systems
  • Coordinating month-end close duties, including reconciliations, reporting, and analysis
  • Resolving customer accounts by examining payment plans and payment history to determine if collection efforts are required on delinquent accounts
  • Negotiating with customers to resolve issues and collect timely payments per contract terms
  • Measuring and reporting quarterly targets in a timely manner
  • Performing FDA and unapplied cash analysis
  • Contributing to business process troubleshooting, maintenance, and enhancement initiatives (Gemini, Oracle, Salesforce, local systems) where appropriate
  • Other tasks or duties as agreed with Accounts Receivable Manager

Requirements and Qualifications

  • University degree in accounting, finance, or related field required
  • ARS (Accounts Receivable Specialist) certification preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related field required
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting receivable best practices, reporting, and data analysis
  • Proven collection, billing, and cash application skills and experience
  • Excellent analytical, conceptual thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Able to thrive in an often fast-paced and deadline-oriented global business requiring development and refinement of processes and procedures
  • Essential knowledge dealing with third-party collections agencies
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Applications required (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge and experience in Oracle preferred

Estimated salary: $85,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
