Job Summary:

Vestas is seeking a highly skilled Global Supply Chain Coordinator to join our LATAM Transport department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery of components to wind sites and factories in LATAM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate outbound transport activities to ensure shipments are properly safety-checked, on track, and reported.
  • Ensure that all logistics service providers (LSPs) are instructed and following safety procedures in all operations.
  • Provide guidance, assistance, and advice to internal clients in support of their operations.
  • Proactively engage with stakeholders to ensure safety, customs, tax, finance, account, and systems compliance processes.
  • Closely cooperate with the transport team to improve operations in the region and meet key performance indicators (KPIs) from the transport department.
  • Manage supplier performance and coordinate payments with LSPs.
  • Investigate and support problem-solving of delivery and transport quality issues, monitor and report transport risks, and support the team to recover non-conformance reports (NCR)/claim costs disputes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar position focused on logistics/transport.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of logistics operations and practices, in-depth knowledge of transport set-ups in LATAM countries.
  • Solid stakeholder management skills.
  • Significant financial experience in transport cost controlling and execution, cost analysis, and business performance management.
  • Solid systems skills, including MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and favorable experience with Power BI and SAP BI.
  • Attention to detail and ability to build smart, well-organized spreadsheets.
