This role represents a significant opportunity to work in a high-performance team while supporting world class operations and projects globally.**The Opportunity**
Glencore Copper is currently seeking a highly capable and motivated professional to join our LATAM OE & Tech team based in either Lima, Santiago or Antofagasta.
- The position will sustain the full potential program in Glencore copper assets globally, ensuring alignment with physical KPIs, identify gaps and ensure corrective actions are taken. Also, provide support in the Operational Performance business function in the roll-out of governance, analysis, projects, initiatives, reporting and strategic planning activities. This professional will be the one in charge to scale-up of Glencore Harmonized Time Usage Model and Full Potential across regions (Canada, Africa and Philippines).**In this role you will be responsible for**:
Reporting to the Operational Excellence Departmental Manager,- Support and oversee the execution of business analysis at the asset level, and train super users at the asset level, defining the training needed to create in-house consultants.
- Scale-up of the new Glencore Harmonized Time Usage Model globally across regions (Canada, Africa and Philippines), being the global guarantor.
- Ensure high quality of performance and improvement management occurring in priority initiatives at the regional level.
- Analyse and challenge of business performance across all operational, financial and support functions, providing better insight and business intelligence to stakeholders through the Full Potential program.
- Report on program performance by including assessment of controllable and non-controllable variables and key metrics. Consolidate regional level reports and dissemination.
- “Deep dive” on process deviations and modelling activities to support business cases on demand (Six sigma, Answer First, etc.)
- Support senior management on business reporting activities and synthesis of information for communication.
- Review the outcome of any performed analysis, such as “Deep Dives” and input generation for LoA process.
- Communicate the findings to the appropriate teaM/Function to take action.
- Coordinate stakeholder management and stakeholder engagement (including supply and finance functions).
- Frameworks and procedure generation to implement on sites.
- Creating proper governance model with regions and sites teams.
- Active co-ordination of works and tracking outcomes, interfacing with asset leadership and operational teams in works in progress.
- Management of the consultants and advisors engaged as part of the role.
- Development and issue monthly reporting and SteerCos delivery.
- Develop financial models, assessment tools and maintenance through delivery programs.
- Cross functional engagement as part of the technology transformation program
- Regular engagement with the internal stakeholders in copper and other commodities
- Development and management of the systems and tools to support the function.
**About the profile: Your training, skills & expertise checklist**
- Bachelor’s degree in Maintenance, Engineering, Science, Finance, Commerce or Business.
- Postgraduate in Business, Finance, Engineering.
- Full English proficiency and Spanish (mandatory), French is a surplus.
- Minitab Statistical software superuser (mandatory).
- Black belt Six sigma, LEAN or similar (mandatory).
- PIPware proficiency or similar (Wave, Shibumi, Impact, etc.) (mandatory)
- + 7 years’ experience in Operations, Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, Analysis & Improvement, Control Process, and/or Business Improvement, preferable in mining
- Experience in top consulting firms desirable (McKinsey, BCG, Bain, etc.)
- Background or experience in continuous improvement (Standardized Work, SMED, WILO, Performance Dialogue, etc.) and/or Lean model (C+, BOS, Lingo, etc.).
