**About the Role**:
The Asset Performance & Improvement team is a new global team within Technical. The team works in partnership with Asset leaders to deliver the highest impact operational improvement opportunities through data driven benchmarking, opportunity identification, a single aligned improvement plan, and asset delivery support.

We are seeking experienced improvement professionals for the role of Principal Performance & Improvement - Minerals Americas to report to Manager Improvement Projects within Asset Performance & Improvement. The role supports our Minerals Americas assets.

The Principal Performance & Improvement - Minerals Americas will:

- Be a key team member of multidisciplinary improvement teams, working in partnership with Asset leaders to identify, align on a plan and deliver the highest impact operational improvement projects.
- Lead the delivery of sustaining activities required to achieve project benefits post-implementation.
- Support the development and delivery of initiative pipelines at each site so they are sufficient to achieve unit cost outcomes.

This opportunity is based in Santiago.

**About You**:
You will have experience supporting the leading and delivering of large scale, high value improvement projects (+$50M EBITDA) in a mining or asset-intensive context. You will bring experience in working effectively within multidisciplinary teams with the goal of achieving measurable and sustained value for our Assets. You will be able to effectively support the identification, scoping, planning and delivery of improvement projects with the Assets and stakeholders across Performance & Improvement. The role requires an analytical thinker, who is able to demonstrate sound business acumen and be able to get to the root cause of problems.
You are able to establish credibility through your technical ability and excellent communication skills. You will be comfortable working in complex matrix work environments. An ability to constructively question ideas and build trusted relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders will be essential.
You will bring a sound understanding of key business and mining industry performance drivers and will have demonstrated experience working within an innovative, best practice continuous improvement function.
Energetic and results-orientated, you work well under pressure and are comfortable with ambiguity.

**Skills and other qualifications**
- Minimum 6 years professional experience- Demonstrable experience in supporting the delivery and realisation of large-scale and complex improvement/transformation projects
- Experience with developing integrated asset or business plans
- Proven experience working with or on multidisciplinary project teams
- Experience in managing senior relationships within large organisations
- Expertise in designing and implementing solutions
- Strong analytical skills
- Previous mining or asset intensive industry experience is preferred
